Open Data in Neuroscience
The Kavli Foundation’s Open Data in Neuroscience program encourages more open, usable, and innovative approaches to brain research. Scientists generate enormous volumes of complex data every day - data that could unlock transformative insights into how the brain works. But to realize that promise, information must be Findable, Accessible, Interoperable, and Reusable (FAIR).
We support efforts that advance open-source software, enable the creative reuse of existing datasets for new discoveries, and strengthen the infrastructure and training needed to empower the next generation of researchers. By fostering these capabilities, we’re helping the neuroscience community worldwide turn data into knowledge - and accelerate progress toward solving some of the brain’s most challenging mysteries.
