The Kavli Prize Ceremony, September 9, 2008

On September 9, approximately 900 people gathered at the Oslo Concert Hall in Norway, as seven pioneering researchers in the fields of astrophysics, nanoscience and neuroscience were honored as the first Kavli Prize laureates. In a program that featured musical performances by the Kampen Symphonic Band and Oslo Camerata, as well as presentations by the chairs of the Kavli Prize committees and other dignitaries, the inaugural laureates received a gold medal and scroll from His Royal Highness Crown Prince Haakon Magnus.  (Total Running Time: Approx. 90 Minutes)
